Inclusion of people over 50 in the Czech Republic

World population is ageing and in Europe the situation is especially alarming. In the next two decades the ratio of people over 65 years of age is expected to double. This threatens long-term sustainability of welfare systems. The debate about future developments has been going on since the turn of the century. Based on this debate the European Union defined improving the inclusion of people over 50 as the main solution to this problem. The means to achieving this goal have been identified at the level of the labour market, disease prevention and lifelong learning. The specific instruments are: 1) increasing the participation of older workers in the labour market by increasing retirement age, introducing penalties for early retirement, promoting retraining of older and increasing retraining efficiency, 2) restructuring of pension systems and provision of social services and 3) strengthening participation of older people in society, applying the principles of active aging at all levels of social life and increasing the quality and variety of lifelong learning opportunities. Possibilities of graduates of secondary schools and universities, and persons over 50 years in labor market in the region Vysočina

The topic of this thesis was chosen due to significant implementation problems in the labor market. Working closely monitors specific population groups, namely: school leavers and those aged over 50 years in the region Vysočina in the years 2000 to 2011 and try to analyze and view the situation on the labor market, level of supply and demand in selected groups. The results of the work can be observed trend in the increased number of educated people and life expectancy, which aims to increase the number of people interested in skilled and less-skilled jobs, but even though unemployment rates are in the region Vysočina lower than in the Czech Republic.
The issue of pedagogical and psychological aspects of education for people aged 50 +

This bachelor thesis deals with the problems of pedagogical and psychological aspects in education of people aged over 50. The objective of the thesis is (on the basis of my personal experience and practice) to evaluate adequacy of didactic processes in chosen educational program for people over 50. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on pedagogical and psychological characteristics of the people aged over 50 in the relationship with the chosen eductaional program. The practical part deals with analysis of the opinions of the subjects that participated in the chosen educational program. In the frame of evaluation there are mentioned the ratio between expectations and needs of the target group and also the own evaluation of the education by the subjects. The result is appraising the chosen educational program from the point of view of pedagogy and also formulation of proposals for adaptation of objectives, content and methods as well as forms and resources needed and important in education of these persons.
